A reception immediately followed the ceremony with entertainment by the Rick Purcell Band. The bride, 30, recently relocated to Columbus, OH where she works as an Account Director at CEB, a professional services and advisory firm based in Washington, DC. Heather is the daughter of Donald and Debra Green of Munhall. She graduated from The Ellis School in 2001 and matriculated to Davidson College in North Carolina where she met Benjamin and graduated in 2005. The groom, 31, is a 2nd Vice President and manager in the Columbus, OH office of General Re Corporation. He is the son of John and Maureen Skurek and a native of Chagrin Falls, OH.

Father Tyler Bandura officiated the double ring ceremony on October 19, 2013 at Blessed Sacrament Cathedral in Greensburg. The bride wore a La Sposa gown from the 2013 Costura Collection and carried a bouquet of white and purple Picasso calla lilies. The bride's sister, Dr. Kristen Berardinelli, served as Matron of Honor while the groom's brother, Mr. Ryan Lucas, served as Best Man. Dr. Dana Llewellyn and Ms. Kellee Sopko, friends of the bride, were dressed in long Persian Plum chiffon gowns as Bridesmaids. Dr. James Connelly and Mr. Mats Cooper, friends of the groom, served as Groomsmen. Ms. Emma Topolosky, cousin of the bride, was the Flower Girl, while Mr. Jonathan Meyers, the groom's cousin, served as Ring Bearer. The Junior Groomsman was Mr. Joseph Topolosky, cousin of the bride. The reception was held at the beautiful Chestnut Ridge Resort in Blairsville. The bride graduated from Franklin Regional Senior High School in 1998. Lauren earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2004 from the University of Pittsburgh. The new Dr. Lucas is a clinical pharmacist in managed care for UnitedHealthCare. The groom, a 1994 graduate of Geneva Community High School in Geneva, Illinois, earned his Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering in 1998 from Marquette University. Richard received his medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in 2002. Dr. Lucas did an internship in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Nuclear Medicine at Loyola University in Maywood, Illinois. He completed a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts. Richard is employed by Radiologic Consultants, Ltd. as a staff radiologist for the Excela Health System. The newlyweds enjoyed a week long honeymoon in Aruba and reside in Murrysville.

Ushers were Brad Turkel, brother-in-law of the bride, Noah Turkel, nephew of the bride, and Jake Myers, nephew of the groom. The new Mrs. Myers is the daughter of Patricia and Michael Grieco of Churchill. She is a graphic designer with her own freelancing business. The Groom is the son of Linda and Louis Myers of Russellton. He is a chef for Giant Eagle's corporate offices. After a honeymoon at the Grand Canyon, the couple is at home in Gibsonia.

Jennifer Jo Vota and Derek Joseph Burda were united in marriage on July 27, 2013 at the Historical Landmark the Smithfield Street United Church of Christ in Pittsburgh. The Reverend Liddy Barlow Gerchman officiated the 4 p.m. service. The bride is the daughter of Terry and Linda Vota of Elizabeth Township. Her husband is the son of LaRaine Burda and Dan Burda, Sr. of Shaler. Matron of honor was Darcie Reeping, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Kristie Vota, sister-in-law of the bride, Sophie Vota, niece of the bride, Kelli Faust Davis and Erika Allen, friends of the bride. Best man was Daniel Burda, Jr., twin brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Rohn Neugebauer, brother-in-law of the groom, Scott Vota, brother of the bride, Matt Reeping, brother-in-law of the bride, Ryan Leszun cousin of the groom, Steve Saylor, friend of the groom. Flower girls were Taylor Reeping and Stella Vota, nieces of the bride. Ring bearer was Nicholas Reeping, nephew of the bride. The bride wore a lace dress designed by Carolina Herrera and a bird cage that was created from lace petals off her mother's wedding gown. She carried a bouquet of white roses and her great-great-grandmother's chain linked purse. A reception was held at the Heinz History Center in the Strip District where the new couple celebrated their nuptials with a choreographed dance to "Love You More Today Than Yesterday". The couple continued their wedding celebration with a honeymoon to the Fiji islands. They are residing in Fairfax, Virginia.

Brown and Bertha Fry, all of Mifflintown, PA. Grandparents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. George Linnelli of Oakland, Mrs. Carolyn Capozzi of Oakmont and the late Francis E. Capozzi. Mrs. Cristal Ritchey served as Maid of Honor and Mr. Frank Linnelli, brother of the groom, served as Best Man. The bride works as a client solutions manager for Armada Supply Chain Solutions in Orlando, FL, and the groom is a sports reporter and talk show host for 98.7 The Fan in Tampa, FL. The couple reside in Lakeland, Florida. A spring honeymoon is planned to the Isle of Capri and the Amalfi Coast, Italy.

Matron of Honor was the bride's sister, Heather Hunt of Bellevue, PA. Bridesmaids were: Melissa Hickey of Warrington, PA, Leslie Cubellis of Belle Vermon, PA, Elizabeth Halter of San Francisco, CA, and Rachel Adams, cousin of the bride, of Oakland, CA. The couple took a two week trip to Australia for their honeymoon. They are residing in Harrison City. She is a Project Manager at Philips Respironics in Monroeville. The groom is a 2000 graduate of New Castle High School and a 2004 graduate of Slippery Rock University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Safety and Environmental Management. He is the Environmental, Health and Safety Senior Manager for Philips Respironics in Murrysville.

ARIANA ORNELAS WEDS NICK SMYTH Ariana Isabel Bernabe Ornelas, daughter of Gloria Bernabe Ramos and Jose Ornelas of Amherst, Mass., was married Saturday to Nicholas Finnbarr Breasted Smyth, son of Mary Breasted Smyth and Ted Smyth, both of New York and Tamworth, N.H., and formerly of Sewickley. The Rev. Luis R. Gerena Aguiar, a Roman Catholic priest who works in crisis intervention, officiated at the Loeb Central Park Boathouse in New York. Mrs. Ornelas Smyth, 31, is an associate attorney, focusing on health care regulatory law and policy reform, at Hooper, Lundy & Bookman, P.C. in Washington, D.C. The bride graduated magna cum laude and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa at Harvard College and received a law degree from Harvard Law School. Her father is a professor and Assistant Dean of Humanities and Fine Arts and former Chair of the Department of Spanish and Portuguese and Director of the Bachelor's Degree with Individual Concentration at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Her mother is a professor and Associate Director of the Center for Latin American, Caribbean and Latino Studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Mr. Smyth, 30, is an enforcement attorney at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in Washington, D.C. After graduating from Harvard Law School, the groom helped draft the statute that created the Bureau while working at the Department of the Treasury. He was named to Forbes' Thirty Under Thirty for Law and Policy in 2012. He also graduated cum laude from Harvard College, the year after his wife. He grew up in Sewickley and is devoted to Pittsburgh. His father is Executive Vice President at McGraw Hill Financial responsible for marketing, communications and government affairs. Previously, he was an Irish diplomat and Chief Administrative Officer at H.J. Heinz, where he worked for 20 years. His mother, a former journalist with The New York Times, The Village Voice and the Dublin periodical The New Nation, is the author of two novels and one non-fiction book.

She graduated summa cum laude from Saginaw Valley State University, and has earned two master's degrees, one in Women's Studies from Ohio State University and one in English from San Francisco State University. An Andrew Mellon Predoctoral Fellow, she will be conferred a doctoral degree in English from the University of Pittsburgh in August. She is a daughter of Robin and Roger Mosher of Marion, MI. Her mother is a certified mastectomy fitter and customer service representative at CareLinc Home Medical Equipment in Cadillac, MI, and her father is a self-employed handyman. Jess, 38, works as a Senior Research Associate at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh and received a master's degree in Women's Studies from the University at Albany, State University of New York. She is a daughter of Bette L. Hughes of Okeechobee, Florida, and the late Frank M. Garrity of Pittsburgh. Her mother works as an account manager with Akoya, a Pittsburgh-based strategic communications firm. Her father was president of Bally Design, a Pittsburgh industrial design firm.

They currently reside in Los Angeles, CA.
